Tried to plant crops in B42

I'm getting hundreds of errors sounding off in the bottom right of the screen when I try to farm in the B42 unstable - anyone else get the same?

I also got the same error at the garden centre at Ekron where there are some planted crops. I just assumed it was an issue with the POI but I'm getting the same thing on furrows I've just dug.

I'm not getting any errors while planting, however I did just harvest my first crops (that I planted) and I didn't receive any agriculture experience for it.

yeah i play steam deck. i know its not supported but i have tweaked it to make it work. only thing not working is farming for me and i use the steam deck game pad settings but modified. maybe i make a temp keyboard and mouse scheme for farming and switch it between game pad mode idk. thanks

i would say that most likely controller is not yet supported->unstable.
So not surprising it might cause issues:)

Yeah its cos of the associated tool tip in the menu.

For Controller and likely the Deck - it says 'Farming'.
With M&Kb it says 'Crops'.

So... hopefully an easy fix!

all my crops died before they even reach stage 2

And i cant even see information about them because there is no option to click on. If they are healthy there is an "crop info" option

same, every crop i plant dies within a few days. no clue why.

Are you planting them in season?

most of them, some in june instead of july

same here crops planted in the right month and they never leave stage 1, when I see some growing is when its dead and I cant get any info on it, the only option is to remove.

same, i can't start growing anything
and i think the season system is a little bit unrealisctic, u can still plant something if the place is warm enough, have a water and light

Yah, same issues. The new plants like sweet potato and sugar beet buggy, but I saw the others basic plants in b41 still work well. So I think all the new plants maybe still in working progress and not completed yet

There's something fishy going on with farming, that's for sure. I planted in the correct season and harvested but didn't receive any XP from any action for a long time. Then, it suddenly started rewarding me with XP for my agricultural actions. Yet, with a survivor of almost 3 in-game months 1 hour-day setting, the only darn crops I've been able to harvest so far are Kale and Chives. My freezer is full of Kale. Me love Kale now.
