The point of this beta is to provide feedback. Saying to just change the settings yourself is missing the point.
No he should not. Currently apparantly there is an issue with that system and whatever you do it will just increase the density and pop.
Also i would say it feels more uneven certain parts that do not make sense, have like 50-100 zombies, there. Whereas where it should is almost completely empty.
I would add though that I heard you can't pick a number anymore for pop. Only the preset very low - insane amount intervals.
I've posted, and even emailed Indie Stone to which I got no reply officially. I asked them if they are going to address zombie culling in build 42.
One dev said they were considering it in a thread last year. but they deleted the comment, and went silent on the matter.
With zombies being culled in multiplayer, especially on higher zombie counts, why INCREASE zombie count even further when they were already having performance drops?
Granted, I know this is single player, not multiplayer. But given their silence, and lack of willingness to address the question- making it seem like they have no intention of working on it. Why on earth do this?
what I've liked about B42 is that it makes me think and do different things. I feel like I'm using more resources and taking more risks for smaller rewards and this is good. I played too much B41 and I'd be like the OP here. I'd have a set routine of what I need to do and when for a nice smooth survival run. B42 feels a lot more varied and now I don't think any run will quite be the same - that is until we learn the ratstrats again and the order we should be doing them. Adapt of die.
