Ah umm not sure tbh lol, I have yet to get into it, though I never really got into it prior to the update, I've seen people say you can't get exp from dissembling things now so you might have to just make a bunch of carpentry things like shelving and walls and stuff. I haven't gotten luckily enough to even find a handaxe lol so I can't say for sure how long it'd take but best of luck!

disassembling is the quickest way after tvs off. read beforehand. thankfully some of the carpentry skills required arent as ridiculous. I think double door gate is lvl 4 and log stairs are lvl 3.... i think

Mah bad, wasn't specific about my question, sorry, It's build 42.

For what build? 41 or 42? 41 you can easily raid a library early while life and living is still going and get high end 7-9 if you get lucky on books. The rest disassemble.

None of that works on b42 though. Life and living only gives xp to level 3 unless you sandbox settings it. Disassemble no long gives xp either. My best best to do it naturally would be to make your own base completely from scratch. To my knowledge you can upgrade walls for more xp.

Also yeah high level carpentry isn't as needed. Stairs aren't high leveled and they lowed the rain barrel to like what level 5? Kinda a not so great skill now.

I've not tested it myself, but I've read that disassembling furniture doesn't work anymore for leveling up. Reason: multiplayers destroy whole cities. Also can't confirm: you can level up by chopping down trees and sawing logs. Don't know if it's true, but I'll start doing it myself. Only need to find a wood axe.

Can anybody confirm?

Build Log Walls
Sawing logs and disassembling have been nerfed.

Not to keen on doing that, my char lung moodle gotten red by just moving and burying 2 corpse. Gonna hate chopping trees and transporting logs. They weight a ton.

Carving can make tools and tool parts, Same with knapping. Butchering gives better quality meats to my knowledge. Level 1 Maintenance is needed to make many basic tools now sadly but hopefully that changes.

Honestly my biggest issue right now with survival as follows : calorie counts (because I cannot get food) and two I can't get food because I lack the skills to make the tools I lack. I think any skills right now that help you make tools are probably the best at the moment so you can make tools and weapons to actually survive.

They disabled it because of multiplayer folks taking apart the entire map for xp

I don't know if disassemble give xp for other skills anymore i'm guessing it doesn't.

lowkey i did hate that, maps became ghost towns. but i feel like there should be other ways to address that. I know for tailor at least, ripping clothes for strips no longer gives anything.
