where are all the skill books mayn

havent found a single carpentry book yet and ive looted the school, bookstore and almost all the houses in riverside. feel like theres just a few too many of the new random books

Honestly, I've found most of my skill books in West Point in boxes in people's houses/basements rather than in book-heavy POIs...which is probably not ideal gameplay because instead of strategic looting, I'm just slogging my way through row after row of functionally-identical houses.

books need a higher spawn rate. im certain books arent a high priority in a zombie apocalypses so why are they so hard to get???

I was like that with bags.
Then found a schoolbag in a trunk....funnily enough the car next to it i could not loot.
A few days later finally was. Big hiking bag. With food and a foraging book. Also a garden basket with food.
I find most of the useful stuff in cars. Like finding a car with 4 plastic bags each containing someones purchase in the nearby supermarket...and so on.
Hell I even find skil lbooks in cars:D

It seems like the game's loot spawn is set to rare, which would be equivalent to very rare in B41. So, in order to get more spawns, you could try setting it to normal or higher.

im loving the general more realistic feel of the looting, with things being more where they're supposed to be and more items being on the ground etc to tell more of a story. but hell if finding skill books aint hella hard.

Theyre easy to find stop using the methods you did in 41 to find books, we have to think differently now which is freaking AMAZING SPARKLE FARts, youll find them in areas where you will be likely to see those things. Sheds, closets, basements of those themed areas. its reall

rmemech is right about the storage units being a great spot to find many of the books. Just need a good bashing weapon for getting in the doors

I've barely been alive a week and half and have nearly every early game skill book that matters, and thats looting only echo creek and the surrounding houses, you're either getting unlucky or not looking as well as you think you are.

Its more that you've been lucky I think. I've gone through several restarts and books are rare. I cleared out all of rosewood and still haven't found all the lvl 1 books and not a single carpentry of any lvl. That includes raiding the school and bookstore. Meanwhile on the two times I started at Echo I did find a higher book count than other places. also found the Jason slasher and a military unit on those runs. it might be echo is boosted
