Because i am pretty sure that there is a mod that causes this in B41. And someone ages ago posted almost a similar issue, and it was a mod issue.
If you mean when you are reversing with a certain type of a car, then yes it is normal, as certain big trucks, vans and the like do that IRL as well. But there is also a mod that adds this.
Another option about the beeping was, that there were a lot of dead bodies around the player and a number of them had watches and they had their alarms set. So their alarms got ringing. After that i started to check all corpses for watches(and also to level electric skill) and check if they had an alarm. Cuz carrying 50 watches and having one of them trigger an alarm while you are sneaking past a horde is not that funny:)
It is not beeping, but still one of the worst and best(for atmosphere) experience was, when tired, exhausted my character managed to sneak into a 2 story building which did not have zombies. outside there are a lot(max pop). Look carefully around to see if there are zombies or other surprises present, check the rooms upstairs, find the most suitable one for rest, now i revisit each room and check whether they have an alarm clock. Find 2 in one room, turn off the alarm. Go back to sleep in the room. Wake up cuz of alarm. Forgot the check the room i planned to sleep in and the nightstand had one alarm clock too. Dash away:)
Find every digital watch and alarm clock you have and check them individually, or put them in your main inventory then in the top right click the alarm button at least three times, then again if needed to make sure it's set to off. This will sync the on/off state of every alarm in your inventory. Alternatively you can check the alarm on every single one individually.
Any random digital watch picked up from a zombie (Or even still on a zombie corpse!) can have an alarm set to a random time and enabled. So if you have any corpses nearby, it could be coming from one you didnt loot or ignored too.
