the problems with B42 CDDA challenge
ok i know its suppose to be a hard challenge but hear me out i could survive forever in b41 cdda but now its nearly impossible and here's why :

My first big issue in cdda is it takes double or triple the amount of time to be able to rip sheets into rags which leaves you with little to no time at all to patch yourself up before getting swarmed (without removing the glass)

second problem is even if you somehow manage to get out of the starter house patched up and with a pair of shoes your next stop is suppose to be farm house up the north which is now completely overrunned and there is a large horde waiting for you to get there ...
(i even tried isolated cabin in middle of the jungle its overrunned too)

third issue here is new combat mechanics and muscle fatigue which is suppose to make game more realistic at the cost of fun gameplay . don't get me wrong im all for a hardcore experience but in case of cdda challenge you push 2 zombies and you already out of breath with fitness and strength traits btw.

and my last problem is since alot of free traits sort of speak either got reworked or nerfed since the last build you cant just take essentials traits to carry you in early game.

Playing CDDA - after playing 2-3 days in game, my character suddenly stoped coughing after restarting game (character is still ill).

i managed to survive and clear the farm house but for some reason game crashed after like 2 days and everything from campfire to the loots that i dropped or stored on ground was gone...

I only play CDDA challange. And yeah it took a few tries to adapt and change playstyle from B41. Mainly the removal of the "sprint cheese" when you could sprint eventho u were hurt :d

This. All the remote buildings are now filled with 10-20 zeds and your driveway has like 20 zeds upon startup too. The coughing sneezing also breaks almost every time after loading the save but im not sure if it still makes zeds notice you.

zombie spawns seem completely out of whack across everything in b42

Reloading game every time causes to break coughing. - go outside house, start to cough, reload -> no cough

I every run zeds got damaged clothes, so it is hard to dress warmly, but in one run I found several zeds with fine clothes (undamaged leather jacket was a really nice find).

I think I saw the option to clean rags from the backpack with water, strange comparing to that it is imposible to clean them in the sink.

The challenge is nigh impossible with the new settings. It seems your character is about as strong as a wet noodle, tires from walking less than a mile and stomping your feet a few times exerts you as much as running a marathon. The zeds can hear you from halfway across the map and have superhuman strength and resilience however: they can burn for minutes without going down, and apparently they aren't rotting enough to be damaged by blows to the head with a literal tree trunk.

I like the new changes, but the compounding factor of these additions makes it feel kinda ridiculous and over the top.

yes they didn't think through the muscle strain mechanic obviously, it doesn't even make sense its no point for using two handed weapon now since you get tired for like swinging 4 times and each weapon has it's own muscle strain reduction when leveled up. imagine being able to swing an axe but get instantly tired from using a hammer ...
