How to level construction skill ?

Furniture destruction does not give exp anymore. Do i need to build a lot of fences to lvl up this skill ?

Check if deconstructing them adds you xp.
I have not found a hammer and a saw yet...or any tool beside a trusted worn screwdriver.

yes, you need to build things to level up construction skills. Go chop trees or loot planks.

Unless they changed it, sawing logs into planks used to give exp. Not much, but it did give it.

For B42 you no longer get XP for dismantling furniture. The only ways I recall to get XP is sawing logs and building things, I think you can grind it out by boarding up windows but I'm not 100%

You might still be playing v41 in that case. In v42 you can't get exp from deconstructing most things anymore.

Underrated way to get early xp for this is to make survival tools like spears. Kinda goes in a loop to work foraging, const., spears, nimble and possibly strength if you carry just a little too much.

So, if you can't grind skill by deconstructing furniture anymore, does that mean the XP earned by constructing things has been buffed? Because if not, I think I'd rather be eaten by zombies than try to reach carpentry 6.

As far as I can see XP rates have not been touched. So they just blanket nerfed XP gains.

it's an option in sandbox to stop getting xp/boosts from deconstruction and tapes/books at a certain level. standard is somehow 0.
