what are you guys using for long blunt in b42?
as far as i can tell the crowbar isn't rewarding maintenance xp because it is no longer considered an actual "weapon" it's a tool.

as far as i can tell, unless you find a baseball bat, any early long blunt "weapon" won't reward maintenance xp.

because of the muscle strain i'm using mostly short blunt and blade for now, hammers, tire iron and such. less weight, less strain

setting up to grind metalworking up to lvl 5 so i can forge swords, that should make combat a lot easier i hope

Crowbar

I will shout from the highest mountain top until the mightiest of mighty weapons retakes it's rightful place. Higgs, Maddan, Captain, and all the others shall not stop my righteous crusade! A weapon is whatever you use to bash in skulls, it doesn't matter if it's a morningstar, a maul, a Louisville Slugger or a plunger.

If I can't take my pool cue on a plane because TSA thinks it's a weapon, then the crowbar is a weapon.

I still use the crowbar but I wish they hadn't nerfed it. I'll probably just take a break from pz again or go back to B41. This update was kind of a let down.

The Right Crowbar in the Wrong place can make all the difference in the world

Exactly, you try telling Gordon Freeman that a crowbar isn't a weapon!

Im using short blunt so i can hold a flashlight.
For long blunt, i guess guess metal bat, bc crowbar doesnt build maintenance

hey man you won't get an argument from me. the iron pipes and steel pipes i found in garages were feeling way better for me than hammers were, but hammers build maintenance so guess i'm using hammers.

yeah i saw morningstars and maces and stuff, but idk how long it'll take me to get a forge going. hard to justify taking blacksmith profession/trait when i might not use it for like 2-3 in game weeks, maybe a month or two lol

I keep finding wooden cudgels in the woods and they do a lot of damage to zombies but they also cause muscle strain much faster as well as being very heavy

you can still bonk stuff with the crowbar pretty sure, it's just any "weapon" that's actually a tool or crafting material or something no longer rewards maintenance xp. it still rewards xp for the weapon category though.

like an iron pipe for short blunt will reward me with short blunt xp, but no maintenance xp.

same goes for the crowbar for long blunt.

if you find something you want to use as a weapon, bonk a zombie or two first and see if you maintenance levels up or not. that's what i've been doing to check.

Hammers are tools, if hammers count as weapons, then so is the crowbar!

Crowbar mains UNITE!
