Has anyone figured out how to properly train this still to rank 1? you get recipes there, it seems easy then.

Carve stakes. Tree branches are pretty easy to find when foraging, just look for firewood. In build 41 you used to get them frequently by cutting down bushes with a knife (if you have one), but I haven't tried that yet in B42.

I've had a hard time getting tree branches through foraging. Took forever to find one to make my first axe. chopping trees is more reliable but still I'd need about 50 branches and not every tree drops them, and I'm also gonna be using them to make more axes along the way. that's a lot of chopping.

knapping seems to have similar issue where the only thing you can do at level zero is turn flint to sharp flint. but it took a lot of foraging just to find 1 flint piece
