My Experience with B42
Indie Stone really pulled out all the stops to get this product to us for xmas and honestly I am so glad. Its not a perfect product but I feel it has the active potential to be something amazing. This is just my experience with the current unstable build, as someone who has sunk WAYYY too many hours into build 41.

The things I love:
-The animals: OH MY LORD I LOVE THE ANIMALS. The little rats running round and the cows in the field make the map feel so much more alive.
-The New Map: The layout of the starting map really adds an artistic style to the game
-The Basements: FINALLY A VANILLA BASEMENT SYSTEM. I just love it
-Sitting on furniture while resting: NEED I SAY MORE

Things I Like, but...:
-The new lighting system: I love how alive the lighting system is to the atmosphere of the game, BUT I think its kinda annoying it goes completely dark if no windows, lights or doors are present.
-The fatigue system: I like how while you attack you can get exhausted and gain strain injuries, BUT I feel like this has ramped up the difficulty quite a bit, especially since it happens so quickly.
-The new Combat system: I think this is a bug with the build, but multi-hit even when turned on doesn't work.
-The new Dragging system: Its great system, but I wish that with higher levels of strength you could pick the bodies up.
-New font and icons for maps: I like it, especially the new symbols but i think its a little too polished looking compared to the last iteration. This could just be a me issue though.

The only thing I dislike with a passion is THOSE MOODLES. IK Its not an original opinion but I really feel those polished moodles do not fit into the style of PZ. Even if they were just made more pixalated, they would fit in better with the rest of the game.

Once again, this is just some constructive criticism. I am so so excited for the future of this game and I just cannot thank the devs enough for this early Xmas present. Please don't let the idiots dissuade y'all from continuing this masterpiece of a game. Can't wait to see whats in store next :)

Dark rooms would not be an issue if your vision could habituate to darkness. It would be a nice feature.

About the moodles I don't really care. I play PZ since the first days, when it wasn't even buyable on Steam and I don't think the new ones are that bad. We just need to get used to them.

A subtle sight adjustment in the dim rooms would be cool, with a higher rate for cateyes +1.
I think seeing in the pitch dark is not realistic, I get it. Should be more opportunity for moon cycles and flashlights.

It can definitely be pretty realistic alot of the time, especially for basements and buildings without alotta windows. If you've ever been in a room with no light source whatsoever it's not dim, you literally can't see. No amount of eye adjustment will let you see anything, because there isn't any light to see with.

The difference tho vs real life is that you can feel your surroundings irl. When you can feel where the walls, doors and all are, it hardly matters much atall that you can't see, but the game doesn't have anything that translates the sensation of touch into something the player can use, so we're just left completely hopeless for the most part.

One idea i saw for that elsewhere was a tiny colourless view around you to somewhat act as you 'feeling' your way around, which i thought would work pretty well
