Is it just me or is muscle strain too much at times?
Serious question. I understand that in B41 we could keep on whacking, until we ran out of stamina, which could take a long time with knives. You could kill hundreds of zombies without breaking a sweat, but in B42 muscle strain prevents that.

I don't mind that mechanic, I think it's good overall, but dear lord, I swear you get tired WAAAAYYY too fast. A group of seven zombies with level 3 weapon skill is a challenge at that point. You can only take on like 5 early at best. And I don't mind having something to work towards. However, I still believe that the sheer number of hits needed to kill a zombie + the rate of how fast you get tired just makes it impossible to go full melee.

At this rate, I may resort to molotov only + guns, because melee weapons tire you out too quickly.

There's a muscle fatigue modifier in the sandbox settings, change it to 0.5-0.6ish. Or lower if you feel that's still not enough.

The way it's currently implemented isn't quite how I would do it, as it seems to be based on weapon proficiency rather than on fitness and strength levels like I think it reasonably should be. So you can get really good with a weapon type and suffer less muscle fatigue- then have to use your backup backup weapon which is some other weapon class and suffer fatigue as if you were a new character again...which is a bit weird.

I used it both apoc settings and winter is coming challenge and i had no problems navigating or clearing an area out. There are settings you can use to change it to something more manageable per person or disable it altogether, i would just keep messing with it. I tried it on 0.5 but I just ended up liking it on default.
