Making a campfire? [B42]

Hey guys, I have a problem trying to start a campfire. I have a notched plank, I have branches, wood scrap, twigs, odd journals and magazines.

I can't get an option to appear. I'm not tired. Do I right click the fire? And if so, what am I missing to start a fire in a campfire?

EDIT: SOLUTION(S):

1. You can't build a fire if you have any levels of fatigue (lack of sleep).
2. A fire needs to bed fed fuel using the right click option on it (destroy for fuel).
3. Building is no longer done through the right-click menu (check the top left corner for build menu below crafting menu).

in B42? you just need 3 stones and you build it with the "build" menu
after that it's the same as always, add fuel and light it with your choice of ignition and tinder

the problem I'm experiencing right now is knowing exactly what is required. As in my post, I listed all the things I do have. I read that the notched plank and stick were enough for ignition. But I don't have a menu option to start the fire.

you need twigs or paper or even your ID card(a new B42 item you start with). I have not used a notched plank in a very long time but I know you need a source of fire AND tinder. If you only have a means of fire you still need tinder.

And fuel... did you add fuel to the campfire yet? The option looks different... something like "Destroy for fuel" or something instead of just "Add fuel". I think it was changed to indicate you can't get the wood back once you add it.

And then you swipe fire to the right and it will start to burn. So be careful not to swipe it on the left, or else that campfire place is unusable forever.

oh .. destroy for fuel. I actually thought this meant destroying the campfire itself??? I'll try that now.

Thank you for the guidance. The issue was not using the destroy for fuel option. I did not realise that option was for adding fuel to the fire itself. I thought it was for destroying that fire for parts.

how can i find stone? i'm level 2 foraging, and i have searched on roads, forest and close to boulders. Also i tried hitting the stone boulder with a pickaxe or right clicking and nothing

Set your search mode to stones and walk along the edges of paths and roads. That's the fastest way to find them.

Are you on B42? Are the 3 stones in your inventory or on the floor beneath you? Is your character exhausted? I'm not sure if that last one matters, though.

I have 3 stones but that option is greyed out as well. This must be a bug

I had 3 stones I took from a campfire on the map and I never had any campfire option.

You cannot make a camp if you are tired (lack of sleep). It will grey out and won't show the reason why.

Are you using the new building menu? It's below the crafting menu on the left side of the main game screen.

I cant seem to cook on my campfire, i've tried putting the tainted water in it while it's active
