Haven’t played a game long enough to eat. You don’t do it like you did before, via the crafting menu?

For most recipes you need a certain type of cookware. EX: soups require a cooking pot full of water as a base, and then you can add certain ingredients via the crafting menu or through right clicking. Roasting pans make roasts, pie dough goes in pie pans, etc.

Not sure what saucepans are good for now, since you can;t sterilize bandages with boiling water anymore.

Johnny, how do you sterilize then? I mean can you still do it with alcohol? you cant boil water anymore to do the bandages?

I know saucepans are for mac and cheese, and probably pasta in general. Just make sure they're empty before using them. It uses water from your inventory.

Pretty sure you can still sterilize them with rubbing alcohol/whiskey, but I haven't tried this yet in B42 so don't quote me on that. You can at least directly disinfect your wounds, as the alcohol wipes function like they're supposed to.

Usually the cookware. I'd also check your crafting menu, there's a section dedicated to cooking recipes that'll probably have what you're looking for.
