Wah i dont like that they added new mechanics. Wah I dont like how they nerfed my favourite traits" Ive been enjoying the new build 42 so much more. I actually made it to longer than 2 weeks in game surviving. ive never been able to make it more than 3 days in build 41. As unstable as this update is, ive been having fun being able to actually experience and play the game.
Wont be hard to 'improve' this update and that's all you'll be hearing is how they're imroving it. Forgive the complainers but many of us not blind. It will take several more years before they alleviate the real issues with mid/late game that were not addressed here. I fear new problems introduced in this update will further delay progress. Many passionate about the game and would like to prevent devs from shooting themselves in the foot. Maybe some tricks up their sleeves with content held back for b42, don't think they specificed what those things were exactly so it's hard to look forward to it.
There were monthly progress reports with videos included. In what way were you surprised about unstable B42? What expectations did you have? I am really wondering, why some people are so dismayed about it, when the devs were really outspoken about their ongoing work.
Now, the reality of the situation has settled and it is bitter. 3 years of hype for a bunch of broken systems.
muscle strain? lmao
new fluid system not working? lmao
bugged out npcs, including chicken apocalypse? lmao
tons of new skills that require the most convoluted and tedious leveling? lmao
a bunch of new fliers to dilute the skill book loot tables, making skill grinds worse? lmao
skills designed for an end-game in a game where the average player lasts like a week to a month? lmao
multiplayer-centric changes with multiplayer disabled, so you can't test and give feedback based on the parameters that caused all of these changes in the first place? lol, lmao even!
Yeah, they were polishing something for 3 years...
Don't rush the devs! They're too busy typing essays on Reddit! That is IMPERATIVE for PZ development!!!
Excuse me, are you new here? First time in any PZ community? The only reason there's any negative feedback here is because Steam mods actually have lives and families to spend time on holiday seasons with. Try that in the Discord/Reddit part where the moderators never heard a "I love you son" in their lives LMAO
You put it pretty succinctly. The facelift changes are amazing, the rebalances aren't very fun and changed something that was already very fun. I hope it gets better too, but now my favorite game does feel a little lost, and actually going back to B41 isn't such a great option because a lot of the mods aren't necessarily there anymore.
There are actually a number of other things too.
But it is pointless as most folks will just use the it is an Unstable.
Yes we know.
But valid criticism is still good. Allthough he could have articulated it better. (without the lmao-s and provide a bit of elaboration.)
The thing is, i think they did not plan out many of the changes. (As in mapping out the possible scenarios, events, happenings during the theoretical phase. For which then a solution should be devised, then find the fitting algorythm if need be, and then you get to coding.)
It is not just chicken, but can be rat apocalypse...etc.
