Brave vs normal vs coward?
Hi survivors,

Been thinking about changing my standard setup of characters (always been taking the brave trait) but would like to test claustrophobic and normal/cowardly in a play through on 16x, so have some questions if anyone has the knowledge/experience without guessing but based on pure facts.

So being used to running the brave trait it has made me fairly strong on the panic side of things, which i find important once you start hitting cities with the large volumes of zeds, but i would be willing to take a hit on the panic in the early in order to try out the claustropobic/normal/cowardly trait.

What happens over time? i dont care about the amount of kills or days it takes to get to "desentized" its more if the normal/cowardly character over time becomes as good as the brave character over time in terms of panic.

Would you be able to tell a difference between a cowardly/normal and brave in the very long run?

If in fact over time the become the same and you have some rough numbers in terms of survived days / kills it would be very much appriciated as well, based on pure vanilla...

Survive 2 months and you get massive panic reduction regardless of traits. Your chosen traits simply modify that reduction.

I haven't taken cowardly for a while, but considering even with neither trait the panic moodle is basically a blip, the trait probably won't change things that much. My guess is that you'll generate panic a little bit faster when facing a big horde, but it will be gone almost as fast.
if i need the points cowardly is a good pick. if you only fight 1-2 zombies at a time the panic is managable. Alwas keep betablockers on you and feel free to use them even on smaller groups, they are pretty common to find. Also remember that panic reduces your dmg by flat amount so weapons with high dmg like axes dont get efected as much as knives for example. as mentioned above in one or two months its nonexistant.
All characters will gradually become desensitized, but not to the same degree.

Normal characters will panic the moment they see a zombie, even if they survive for 5 months. (They calm down quickly, though.)

On the other hand, brave characters will not even be shaken for a moment.

I think it's more convenient to be able to eliminate the "boredom" mood just by seeing one zombie.
Got a 3-month old, brave character and he barely gets bothered by 20-30 zombies walking towards him. No beta blockers needed.
Good question, I also wondered about this. I know your body weight changes and strength but does it show in your character eventually? I don't think I seen a chubby or overweight person or muscle head in PZ. It would be great to see it visually, like body-wise and physically moving about, fit vs out of shape. Being able to carry more, run faster, fight, etc or slow and clumsy tripping and low encumbrance.
