On the other hand, that's a skill that only requires two or three days of watching television to accomplish. Two real life minutes of grinding skills, sitting on the couch, in front of the TV.

sure, but i dont think that should excuse the fact that its silly, i may not be especially strong but if i wanted to i could go downstairs and move my sofa to be in front of the living room door, no hammer or knowledge required, for a game that puts emphasis on its realism often at the expense of simplicity this feels like a casze where realism would improve this albeit minor complaint. look I have a problem with fixating on ♥♥♥♥ and until this either is addressed somehow or i can make my brain ok with this im not gonna be able to play the game without thinking about this

While you're thinking, turn on the TV. It might give you some ideas, around noon.

I do hear your side though. Does seem a bit odd one needs knowledge in order to move something simple. However, the knowledge is some of the easiest stuff to gain in game. It's almost given to every player by default, provided they turn the TV on.

I don't think there should be a chance you DESTROY a couch just from moving it.
I never realized that simply moving furniture in real life actually means I am a master carpenter! Anybody need a hospital or orphanage built? I once shifted a chair.

you strike me as the kind of person to actually read those "how to walk" steam guides that every game seems to have if you think that this particular bit of in game functionality is fine as is. just saying. especially if your gonna give me sass. i honestly don't know why i ever bother complaining. i come here saying that requiring that knowledge is silly and then you think that telling me to acquire the knowledge solves my problem?

All I'm doing is highlighting the fact the knowledge is available and quite easy to get. Needing to build fences for two weeks just to be able to move a couch does indeed sound ridiculous. However, one doesn't need to build fences for two weeks in order to gain enough XP to be able to move a couch. The XP comes standard, provided one turns on the TV. Meaning, moving a couch doesn't require XP at all, in a sense. It's freely available to all players. No sass. My comments were not meant to be taken personally. I had no intention of insulting you or your intelligence. Simply stating how the game provides a way to balance things out, by default, for every individual. Pointing out how easy it actually is, to do something simple, like move a couch.

Have a good day. Good luck with the game.

Hmm, but you can simply move friger or heavy garage shelf without any simple knowledge available... And tools
Sounds funny right?

i wanted to move ♥♥♥♥ out of the way, i don't want random furniture i don't need so i at least wanted to move stuff like the couch into one room or to the edges or Smthn. and besides the fact that you can move a fridge no problem is just further evidence that the same should be for the couch unless people in Kentucky nail down all their furniture

Hell, you don't even need to do that. Depending on where you're at you could hit level 2 in carpentry by just barricading a house.
