(i'm testing the b42 on vanilla... well almost. i had to add random 'low' sprinters, as they are just too much fun to miss out on).
Those are spec ops soldiers with nightvision & heartbeat detectors, they're just disguising as zombies. Ya'll ain't fooling me!
You dont think thats unrealistic?
This remains true even for B42.
Save for the bug where zombies will always notice you when you are standing/crouching next to a window, apparently.
you mean 'having to use line of sight and some evasive action' to lose the zombies hunting you? That seems pretty realistic to me.
what about it do you find unrealistic? should the zombies be blind? pretty sure there are sandbox options if you want to completely nerf all their senses. But to me, that is unrealistic. Zombies, inorder to be a viable threat, need to retain some of their senses. sense of smell, hearing and sight all seem key.
i will just point out, in vanilla B42 settings, the 'senses' of the zombies seem random. some zombies seem completely deaf (they will have their back to me, and i can kill their mates right behind them without them reacting) compared to others which might hear me from 2 screens away. The randomness of it, keeps the developing scenarios random and fresh, so i like it.
I'd think if a zombie heard me over a wall, he'd walk into that wall and either bang his head against the wall or maybe trace along the wall for like a minute.
From what youve said I gather you dont find any of this unrealistic, which is odd, because I dont think most people would be able to do what they do with such accuracy, hence my post.
This isnt a post about gameplay difficulty. Its about maintaining some sort of realism.
