There are guns in Kentucky
In most of the homes there are guns. This is how it is in murica. Why would anyone make a zombie game in the USA.... not just murica but Kentucky? Did you know the term 'redneck' is high praise there?

Bro... there is a gun behind every toilet, in every fridge, under every bed, in every night stand, behind every couch. We have waterproof holsters for our shower guns. Most pickups have gun racks. There are guns on those gun racks. There will also be a gun in the glove compartment and a gun under the seat gun.

The only place to reliably find guns in this game are locations that would be allowed by your local politics over there with the fish n chips. Yall just dont get it. More guns than people means more people have guns than those that do not.

It is insulting. It frustrates. The game is good enough to really get into but walking up to a house knowing the developers hate freedom and America so much they wont even let us play with guns in their game makes me ask 'whats the point'?

Was there a point we were trying to make with the zombie game with no guns in the homes of the USA? Is this for game play? You making us work to find the guns? Awesome for some game modes but not SB. I know guns CAN spawn in houses but the chances are broken right now. I am hoping you guys across the pond just needed a friendly reminder that in Kentucky even the guns have guns.

I know this isn't exactly the point of your discussion, but editing the loot tables in sandbox settings is baked into the game.

Completely unbaked into the game, guns of 93 is a great mod and increases the amount of firearms in the game by a huge amount and makes their rarity lower so you'll find em in houses a lot. It also adds weapon specific attachments and supressors and die kits to thread barrels which is very silly.

This has got to be bait.

it's bait, no hotdog water drinkin idiot just randomly decides to believe that these developers hate guns for no reason lol

Even if the Brits on design team were hardcore anti-gun, the Canadians would steer them in the right direction.

After all, Canadian soldiers are why the Geneva Suggestions exist.

This is a fictional game, maybe the gun laws were stricter in this version of Kentucky...

If that bait catches more liberal gun spawns then.... yes.
you know you can change item spawn rates right?
Worgen_Freeman 25 ENE a las 12:55 p. m.
This does take a week after the zombie outbreak, most of the guns could have been looted

There should be a bluegrass realism mod
-replace every store with a dollar general
-all vehicle are set to a 99% chance to spawn as a c1500
-walking outside with no footwear in Louisville has a 25% chance to step on a used needle
-random event that triggers when driving where you get rear ended by a survivor npc with ohio plates
This guy gets it.
A c1500 with a full gun rack and a pink flamingo rattling around in the bed.

this is actually true. In my house there is a gun in every room, sometimes several.

I also have a shotgun or service rifle in every room and I am not even in Kentucky.

This post is bait because the issue isn't TIS's understanding of just how many firearms exist in most of the USA (even in "liberal" states, the ratio of lead-dispensers to humans is quite heartwarming, no matter what the "gun-grabbers" think they've accomplished).

The real question is "What are TIS's assumptions about how many firearms would be left at homes and armories during a total collapse of civil law and order?"

IIRC, Max Brooks has talked about the subject a few times in the past and he didn't seem very confident that some rando wearing a motocycle suit would be able to find many guns BEFORE a wandering idiot with a vintage Lodge Logic pan showed up.

I do wonder what Massad Ayoob would have to say about whether a 1990s police armory would even have any weapons left after the first hour.
That is another good point. The places where the devs thought to add or maybe were allowed to add gun spawns would no doubt be trampled by looters minutes after the SHTF. The only thing you would find at the police station is fire.

Another counter to OP's complaint, at least that I've seen in my own saves, is that I find many shotties, pistols, and rifles, carried by many types of zeds - usually I am finding these guns on risen hunters, police, soldiers, veterans, business men/women, farmers, wife-beater perps, criminals, and even a few less-obvious-profession zombies.

In B42 Unstable, with low item spawning, I can still fill a small armory with the bullet-chuckers that I gather from the zombies I destroy.

Meanwhile me: *doesn't have storage space for all the bajillion guns he has*

I dunno what you're on about, mate.

Never been to a proper riot before have you OP?

The gun's aren't on display in people homes when that happens, they're busy elsewhere.

lmao. I'm from nw Ohio and its true. None of these 'commuters' got their license without cheating the answers. They drive about as good as they do in Hannover Germany.

OPs description of where the guns are here reminds me of Kentucky Ballistics on YT. Love that guy

Also every yard in the trailer parks have said C1500 up on blocks, or just parts strewn about with empty beer cans, and a mix of broken and unbroken bottles.

Cigarette butt mountain on every kitchen table.

All the rural road signs have bullet holes.

All graffiti is crudely drawn dix or swiftikas.

Now thats accurate 1990s Red State murica.

and said trailer parks also got that one guy who does scrapping on the side for beer money, so his yard is a junkyard from Fallout and Trailer Park Boys

Being fair max brooks also for some reason maintained that the m1 carbine was the end all be all zombie killeing gun if i remember the zombie survival guide. His work is fun but theres more holes in alot of it than there is in swiss cheese.

Taking off for a landing!

The college cafeteria had a tiny no smoking section and it was covered in layers of smoke haze, because it was RIGHT THERE... a 3 table no smoking island in a sea of dozens and dozens and dozens of smoke bellowing 20 year olds.

WTF devs? :steamhappy: A pack on every zombie except one out of 100. lol. No, I'm good with the ratio as is... ignore me TIS.
Society was better when we could smoke indoors
i doubt its correlated
