B42 Welding Mask/Goggle Spawns?

I'm going to assume people are finding them because i'm not seeing any complaints in the steam discussions, but I can't for the life of me find a pair. I have searched every single storage/building/residential location nearby, a total of a town and a half worth of searching.

Loot in general in this run seems really poor, but I can't for the life of me find a welding mask at all.

I have found countless of them, so yes they do definitely spawn. It's easy to assume something is wrong when RNG decides to screw you over. As usual, it's easiest to find them in hardware stores, warehouses and in garages. That's where I've found the majority of mine.

houses have an occupation closet/room and Ive found welding torches and masks in the cardboard boxes I see inside.

Yeah for whatever reason the last run was devoid of almost anything. I looted West Point and half of riverside, and found 2 crowbars, 0 fire axes, and 0 welding masks or goggles. Wild.

Found my welding mask in one of the garages in west point, the strip of garages behind the main houses. Many are windowless and require busting the rollup door (the large stone axe worked wonders) but the loot was decent. Nowhere as generous as B41, yes.

The best way to find welding mask is to install Week One mod and go kill civies in red and blue.

They respawn in 2 - 5 seconds so you can get unlimited supplies.

You can always set loot spawns for Tools at normal instead of rare, and start a new run. I've done that, because I got frustrated that certain tools were nowhere to be found. Now tools spawn way more often.

Drive over to the warehouse near the LV checkpoint. I usually find multiple welding masks there. It's a pretty quiet area so easy to raid. Also keep an eye out for zeds in coveralls actually wearing masks near factories. Not sure if that's a phenom at the factory in WP but you'll see them at the mass genfac factory near Riverside.
