AMD Ryzen 7 5800 with an AMD 7700 XT.
No issues.
They also fixed the issue with the OLDER AMD cards. As in players who had rx 4XX/5XX series (before the XT series) cards encountered the issue mainly.
Those that have 4 digit numbered cards should have not encountered this issue.
Do you have an AMD GPU??? Because Ryzen 5 4600G has an iGPU. Not a dedicated GPU.
And it is weaker than an RX560. So whereas it should run the game, it is pretty possible it won't.
If you would post the console.log we(i mean forum users) could also have a look at it, to figure out why it is not working.
The others could also mention what kind of a card they have issue with, or could also talk to support.
Then load your console.log/console.txt up on pastebin and provide the link so we can have a look. Or do the same in support, then Beard can have a look and maybe he can help you with your issue. He is the official support, the forum users though know a few issues already so they also might be able to assist.
-mainboard bios update (have an intel 13900kf ,had some wrong factorysettings) + i think its the main fix
-projektzomboid64.bat starting as admin
-vsync on (if u cant get it set ingame , go to the zomboid folder where the saves are and edit the options.ini)
-strangly sometimes it still crashes ,but around the 4th time starting it again it get a grip of it self
Honestly sadly both GPU-s have issues, especially driver wise. (Intel is not really a player yet.)
In the past(like 8-10 years ago) it was generally more common for AMD drivers to have issues, but lately NVIDIA managed to catch up in this regard, and they can botch their drivers just as badly. There was even a year (3-4 years ago i think) where there were so many issues with NVIDIA drivers, that they actually gave the "driver issues" crown over to them from AMD:D
I have had since 2014 AMD cards. RX 470 then RX 560 (on which i could run BG3 EA!!!) then a 6750 XT and now a 7700.
I did not have any issues with barotrauma. At all.
I have two computers, one is an intel with an RX 560 ->barotrauma ran. (This had prior the RX 470).
The other one is an Ryzen 5800 with a 7700. (Previously had a 5700 G with 6750)
Also no issues with barotrauma ever.
And i bought barotrauma quite a few years ago.
Yeah it should run just fine on normal setting but some old like OEM build laptop with older OS, etc. probably gonna have a trouble with it for sure. It start to break after the game update switch to use the new version. People not happy about it (some can't run) and Dev pulling their hair as usual. At least we know one thing that their support on drivers is still a long long way to go. In term of playable out of the box. of course.
