Unable to take dirt and place it. Bag of Dirt bugged, not fixed in updated b42

Hello. Been trying to take some dirt into a bag and move it onto a parking lot. ive done it before and its been a mainstay of the game for a long time, allowing rooftop gardens, path making, etc.

I gathered up the tile with a trowel/shovel but there is no right click option to place the tile down. Was this removed? is it a new way of doing it? I have a base with next to no grass tiles for farming and this really makes an issue.

By default gardens can only be built on the ground level. Perhaps that is the reason you cannot place the dirt. Have you tried placing it at ground level as a test? If that works then you might try starting a new world and testing it again with the option enabled to allow farming on rooftops turned on. I don't remember exactly what the setting is called, but it's fairly self evident.

Tried on different surfaces, on the z levels as I checked that option and using trowel, shovel and spade. every single instance had me with a full bag of dirt but no way to place it. had to destroy contents and that tile on the ground is now basically dead. Unless it grows back or something, you can't even till the soil.

You put down dirt by opening building menu. Dirt/sand/gravel are there.

How do you put dirt in an empty sack? I have a shovel equipped and an empty sack. There is no right click option and I cannot find it in the building menu/crafting menu. Anyone?

If you're using a shovel, it's supposed to appear on in the right click menu from "shovel" -> "take some dirt" when you right click on the ground. If it's gone maybe some mods got in the way?
