Was the ability to plumb our sinks with barrels removed from the game?

I think it's in the process of being reworked due to the number of new "pipe" objects in game

This is what I'm hoping for.
Would be fantastic if we could build water towers away from our actual base house and connect them up with pipes.
Maybe even connect them to animal troughs , etc.

As of 42 (Haven't played with 42.1 yet) plumbing still works but only inside preexisting structures. So if you have a sink next to an outside wall you can build a stairway up to the next level and put a rain barrel on the tile next to the sink (i.e. so it's outside and can collect rain water) you will then have the option to plumb the sink so long as you have the right tools etc. Player built structures don't seem to allow for this yet.

Also when I tested it I did not use the sinks that were already in the house I grabbed a sink built a counter inside the house and placed the sink, then did the rain barrel. That's what worked for me, I'm guessing it also works with the prebuilt sinks as well but I did not test those.

It still works it's just a bit tricky
