I haven't come across a single animal trailer that wasnt good to go, some even with animals inside them.
And you're supposed to press the brakes/slow down and not fly around the corner at max speed.
Problem solved?
If no.
Try pulling backwards. *as in attach it to the front of your vehicle and drive backwards.
Does the trick with cars
I visited all of muldraugh and did not find any good-to-go animal trailer... They all had animals though. All came from accidented cars and were in bad shape. Idk what's the deal with that maybe just bad luck for me.

Weird, i've been in riverside to creek and everything to the left there. perhaps location has to do something with it
Try going to the sheep/cow farms near irvington, the large factories there usually have some of those trailers in perfect condition, and some of the trailers spawn near farms like that.
