kill the cow. make it into burgers.
Make sure they have plenty of food and water, animals will try to escape if not properly cared for.
Have you put them in the assigned zone?

There is a button on the top left screen that lets you assing a designed zone to your cattle.

My guess is that your cows are outside of the zone.

Right food and water. Also did you set the zone for the animal AND did you assign the animal to the zone? Below link has good info for animal ranching.

dont know how to put a screen shot here, but she have water, food and a delimited zone.

may it be a smal space for her?
do you pet the cow?
most animals i petted seem to behave.
Maybe the area is too small. and they are not trusting enough.
if you killed an animal before infront of the others maybe it impacts them.

I tied him to a tree close to the water and food.

there is a button on the side there that lets you set a farming zone - you gotta put that inside your fence and then they will stay in there

i havent done this yet - but if the animal is wild when you find it (not in an existing zone) - you have to feed it and pet it and all that to get it tame - personal i would just shoot it and try to find another one lol - it is unstable after all - i think their behavior setting vary and some are just bastards - also something to consider is husbandry skill - whats your skill level? that might have an effect?
