how to feed animals with hay

Is there an opportunity in the game to expand/ disassemble a haystack into, oddly enough, hay, and then feed them to animals?
It's quite strange to mow grass for animals when these harvested haystacks are almost everywhere.

So... I believe you can create cloths with them, if I'm not mistaken. But I've never seen an animal eat them. Maybe you could suggest this in the suggestions tab we have here in the community?

In some Hutches you could already find Hay.

I'm speaking about those not built by the player.

Check for the feeding option when right-clicking on these hutches - you should find a new tab in your inventory that [hopefully] holds hay.

But I don't really know if chickens or whatever animal eats that hay, tho. Maybe I'll test myself next time.
