Infinite chicken vortex
Hi guys, I was testing the new b42 and I left a hutch closed for a couple of days with a rooster and full of baby chickens. Everyone is well feed and not thirsty and I just wanted them to grown up to adults meanwhile I was exploring.

Then I came back to my "base" and the game perfomance started to drop significantly and I found out that I have an infinite amount of chickens in my yard with a tile with infinite eggs and chickens that cannot move cuz the other tiles on the yard are already cover by chickens.

It's a bit crazy and I will try to clean the yard from the chicken, however it's a bit hard due the perfomance issue (and I am playing in a top tier pc).

Anyone manage to see this "bug" before?

I tried to kill them and it just end on the vortex running and even more chicken to spawn across my entire base, so I undertand this run is over (+50h) as is it is imposible to mover or perform any action even with the settings lowered to mininum. It's a shame that I don't record the thing but I took a couple of screenshots xD
yeah currently all animals tend to multiply infinitely, it's a bug that hopefully gets fixed quickly after the devs come back from their christmas vacation. Until then your safest bet is to kill every animal on sight :/

Couldn’t you just move your base rather than end the run? Or maybe debug mode to clear them?
Happened to me after I carted some chickens and rabbits back to my farm and put them in an enclosure. I wonder if it was because the cage wasn't zoned for livestock, and under Info said the animal would 'wander.' Never had a problem with the sheep on the other side of the farm.

you can login into debug mode (right click properties on pz then in advanced put -debug) , right click the ground and remove all animals lol

What is it with devs going on vacation right after they drop a massive update with games in general lately
For the millionth time, it's an unstable beta. What do people expect?

I think they deserved it

Probably to give people time to play the game and get a first impression, outside of the bugs, before they start hotfixing things I don't think people seem to realize that hotfixes, the big imporant ones, can break saves and require you to make a new one.

Unstable is to play the game but also to provide feedback. If people want to play a stable build they should wait for stable.
I used debug to delete all the animals to save my game when this happened

Thanks a lot guys! I used the debug to delete all the animals as you said <3
