Oh yeah I did get one hydration pack but no big backpacks yet. And yeah the fanny pack is great now.
sometimes a bit easier to grab them among overwhelming numbers aswell.
but in terms of inside cupboards and stuff i have found less.
There are backpacks common in road events aswell.
big/hiking bag on closets and "survival" zombies
the bigger ones I only found in military checkpoint in louisville, but can't take that...
It's an RNG thing. I found a backpack on a zombie on the main street in riverside. I was making do with a golfbag I took from the sporting goods store for a few days before that find. quite glad for the upgrade really as I didn't want zombies thinking I liked golf.
Hiking and big hiking bags seem to be the rarest in my experience, they'll still load in wardrobes in houses but those loot pools are now very bloated with a bunch of other stuff as well. But yeah, camp grounds and camping stores does increase the chances of finding them.
Honestly I haven't gotten to a point comfortable enough yet to tackle military surplus stores, so no idea how common they spawn in containers, but I run into the big clumps of random event zombies out on the roads nearly as often as I do ambulances, so if my vehicle is in good condition I'll just keep running them all over until I get me a military bag, so I usually find one before I get a bag of the hiking variety.
Wondering how the new bags we can craft now hold up though
