Why would you kill the map site?
I'm just here to add to the discussion spam in the hopes that someone at TIS will give their head a shake and realize what an idiotic decision this was. Were you all just getting tired of the good will you were geting from build 42 stable? Whoever in management made this braindead decision should be fired.

I'm not aware, what happened to the map? I can't find it

Devs took it down. No response as to why. Creator isn't allowed to talk about it except to confirm that they wanted it removed from their servers immediately.

Yeah no ♥♥♥♥. Indiestone forced the host to shut it down or face legal action as they hinted at in their reddit post. They said they aren't allowed to say anything on it.
Probably a legal issue. TIS publicly endorsed the interactive map. Maybe someone saw the success of B42 and the fundraiser and saw how much money TIS is making and tried to get a piece.

You seemed to have misread that post, terribly so infact.

It was hosted on Indie Stone's own servers, they didn't want to host it anymore for whatever reason. Maybe the cost of it exceeded what they expected, but the creator of the map said he's working on making it available to the community again so it's not like he can't host it himself.

It may be copyright issues with new map makers they got for the new map.
If neither the creator nor TIS provide an official explanation, everything else is just speculation.

No point in wasting time talking about this.

Whatever the reason, the fact it was done with no word or explination to us fans, the people who made this game succesful, shows how little the indie store thinks of or considers its customers. A single post from them yesterday about this situation could have avoided a lot (thought not all) of this vitriol. Now, instead, we are all left in the dark with no more than a kick in the shin and dead silence from them.
Turned my review negative I suggest you guys do too.
either breach security or the private shareholders ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it and warned them to take the site down immediately. Private shareholders are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with god complex.

I did not misread it whatsoever. The reddit post of the individual who made the map, said he was not able to speak more on the subject or give any sort of specifics. This is pretty much saying he is legally liable to not say anything. Whether contractual or otherwise. Considering the only Indie Stone individual to speak of this so far has said similarly, it's pretty obvious there's legal ♥♥♥♥ here. Albeit Indie Stone is to blame for all of it since they have lawyers who apparently suck at their job if so.

You're trying to make it sound like Indie Stone DMCA'd the creator, they didn't. The creator can just host it again like they were doing before.

Who knows why they don't want anything to be said about it, maybe they figure it'd be worse if they flat-out said that it wasn't economical for them to host it on their own servers. Whatever the case, it'll all probably blow over in a week.
I don't use the site but that's really scummy.
