Mods not appearing
Hi, i've recently been wanting to try a mod in my game however mods i subscribe to are not appearing on the in game mods list. Does anyone have an idea why? Thanks

Thanks, for some reason it doesn't even register the mods as existing at all, can you try moving PZ to a different Steam folder if you have multiple drives available? It could help Steam register that the mods are in the workshop folder and show them due to that. Use the Steam game move function for that.

Are no mods appearing there or just the specific ones that you subscribed to?

Are you launching the game through Steam? And do you have Steam running when you do?

Can you share your game logs so we can check for any errors?
Go to C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid
Open the console.txt
Copy everything from there to https://pastebin.com/
Click “Create a new paste”
Share the website link of the new paste here.

This error message comes up when i click create a new paste: "You have exceeded the maximum paste size of 512 kilobytes per paste. PRO users don't have this limit!"

You can use alternatives like controlc or ghostbin in that case.

Also, it doesn't hurt to do normal steam troubleshooting if you haven't already. Simply closing and reopening and relaunching the game is often enough to register that it needs to download content.

I seem to be having the situation atm too, but only for newly installed mods it seems. The Brita's armor mod had an issue and suggested completely removing the mod before resubscribing. Unfortunately steam doesn't seem to be downloading the relevant files for me despite being newly re-subscribed to the mod and general troubleshooting. It just isn't downloading the mod so I can't activate it in game.

i followed the steps beard gave (but unsubscribed to all mods first) and now the mods are appearing under mods list. Its too late at night for me to actually test them in game but everything seems to be working so perhaps give that ago?

Yeah, I don't currently have another drive to move it too, but going to try a few other things.

Maybe deleting and reinstalling the game could have the same effect?
