Housing and Electricity
I just started to ask myself, if you take over a house, you have running water and electricity already..

If you build a house yourself in the woods, you can get a generator, build a well etc..

But what if you completely deconstruct an existing house which has tiles that have running water, and you build up your own house right on that spot? Will you be able to make use of the water and electricity source that used to be 'in' the house? I dont know if theres any special way its made, or if those properties of running water and electricity are coded to the tiles since, in a kitchen you have some tiles that have running water, but I just ripped out a toilet to put a washing machine there, and the washing machine now asked for running water.

now I took off a sink and cabinet in a house, and put the washing machine there - it requires a water source.. if I put the sink and cabinet in the toilet's spot it doesnt work either.. so it doesnt look like the water source is programmed to the tile, I put the cabinet and sink back to its original place and it has no more water source since the sink cant be used anymore

Well you can still get water by using a rain collector thats one floor higher and 1 tile offset and then connect it with a wrench.. but sadly anything else is off the table, once you pick up a working sink, the water source of it is gone and will never be back so be careful what sinks you pick up or take apart.

I still have water and electricity, I just wanted to have the sink close to fill my barrels with drinking water. Thanks anyway DrunkenTee for the info about the sinks ;)
