Do scratches that do not come from zombies infect you with the virus aswell?

So I tried to play calm until a horde stampeded my house and I had to run. Ran far, through the woods, and the train tracks until I eventually found the little shack and trailer in muldraugh. Now because the trailer is always locked I had to smash in a window. I thought equipping a rag would cover me but it seems it didnt so now I scratched myself while smashing so my question is: Can this infect me with the zombo virus? No zombie scratched me or hit me that far and I would be really disappointed to know that even while doing everything right It still makes this happen

If you look through the sandbox options, you can change the transmission method in zombie lore, and one of the options is blood + saliva, which I think means that if you're covered in zombie blood and you get scratched in some way, you can get infected. So get yourself clean and you should be fine, hopefully. Find some bleach though, just in case.

If you didn't get injured by a zombie, you won't get infected and turn. The wound can still show "infected" but that's just a basic infection, not the zombie one. If you're going to turn (though you would already get sick by the time it's shown), in the health pannel you'll see written (instead of "Ok", "Slight damage", etc) "Zombified".

Well this is literally my fifth survivor, surviving for more than day one is already enough for me right now. I know that im probably doing everything wrong but as long as I just dont randomly drop dead like my third survivor im already happy

Never have seen that at all. Maybe being barefoot.

I also never got infected with the virus by having bloody clothes on and being wounded. Devs also never stated that.
