Any Way to Make Reading Books in Multiplayer Faster?
Just the above question. Is there a setting I am missing to make this go a bit faster? Thanks!

There's a mod that makes you read books in seconds.

This is the correct answer for MP, in server settings.

I set it at 0.1 so you still have to read for a little while, and also slow reader would have some (although little) impact.

I would also tune up fitness/strength XP (mod) and add the mod for fitness/strength books.

Commenting here because this is the first result on google when you searching for "reading speed project zomboid"

On version 41.78 the file for this setting is servertest.ini not SandboxVars.lua

the server folder is ~/Zomboid/Server in Linux, C:\Users\YourUsername\Zomboid\Server in Windows

some old posts floating around mention the lua file, I just got the game so I can't confirm if this was ever correct but this is the current setting home file :)

You can edit that directly in the server options, no need to go to the files.

It depends on how the server is launched. If launched on the client machine, yes, it can be configured within Setting page. However, if it is a dedicated server through Steam or SteamCMD, it has to be modified within the ini file (servertest.ini by default).
You do not need to change any of the gamefiles. Just go to the multiplayer server settings > ini > minutes per page. Change it to 0.01.

Now you can read the whole book around 10 seconds instead of 10 minutes.

No, you do not need mods for that.
Do not listen to people who says otherwise. They don't know what they're talking about.

With steamcmd on a separate pc, this does not work. I run the server off a second pc with the game not installed. You can not access this menu on it.
It is in the SandboxVars.lua file in the server folder
