How to add mods to a multiplayer server I am hosting?

I am trying to add a mod or two to make things more interesting, but I don't know how. Can someone help?

There's an option when you go to host the game. Download the mods you want to use and the drop down for what mods you want to add to the game are one of the first couple of options. Play around with it you'll find it.

Okay, so I've done that, but when I add mods to the list and then start the game, the mods are absent. I'm not really sure why.

They may not be updated to the latest version is my guess. I think there is a way to force the mods? I'm not a 100% sure. Double check the forum search or some of the guides

I have the same problem as OP. When "host"-ing MP, i cannot get mods to activate when i add them via the settings "mod" menu. The mods work in single player and labeled working for b 41.64

You need to add them in the "Mods" and "Workshop" tabs both
