Is that city up in the far north new?
Now that we have a map, I can see that there is a massive city all the way to the north. Is that city new or has it always been there?

Isn't the city to the East? At least it is here on the unofficial map (Spoiler Warning): https://map.six.ph/#

The city you are talking about is Lousville and is like 10 times bigger than any other city and new with the 41.60 update.

Mhhh on the map it's east. So basically the map is rotated a bit and the actual north is north east when you are in the game. And when you go north you are actually going north west.

The idea of an isometric view is that you're viewing the world from a diagonal angle. So going "north" is actually going up and right because the world is rotated 45° to the right. But yes, the actual north is northeast (up and right), and when you go north (up) you are going northwest.

The new in-game map system has a setting to rotate the map to be a non-isometric view, which can be helpful for figuring out what's actually north/east/west/south/etc.
