Need help boiling water
Currently trying to sterilize some rags so I don't die from blood loss. I already have the wounds bandaged but I want to be prepared for them to get dirty. How do you boil water? I have a saucepan full of it but I have no idea how to work the stove-top. I can only turn the oven on and put the saucepan inside of it. Is there a way to use the burners to put the pot ontop of the stove?

I was confused about this for a while too. You just stick it in the microwave or inside the oven and wait a few minutes. Then an option to sterilize them should be selectable with right click. Microwaving a pot doesn't seem to cause a fire. Since i've done it that way with microwaves i've brought up.

Nope, only the oven works currently.

The pot will get red when it is heating, if you have infected water it will become plain water after a short time. When you are standing next to the stove with the hot water in it, right click on clean bandages or rags in your inventory to sterilize them. If the rags are bloody you will have to clean them first.
And don't forget to turn off the stove when you are done.

Sterilizing rags just lowers the chance of an infection (not zombie infection). you can just clean your rag in any clean water and re apply. infections just makes it take longer to heal.

More specifically, the game treats the oven/stove as one food-heating unit. There is a cabinet-style capacity and seems to heat everything in it at the same speed. Oddly, you can't reheat a Fresh Burger from Spiffos even if you accidentally ad raw meat to it. :steambored:
