Use for jewlery?

Any use currently (or planned in the future) for the gold and silver jewlery? You can wear rings and earrings i know, but the fact you can also makes me think we were meant to take it with us so we could melt it down and use the gold and silver for repairing electronics or making our own bootleg car batteries

I think they are mostly flavor items , sometimes i will see zombies full of jewellery and maybe even a gun , so i guess it was supposed to be like a gang member or something , but if we could melt it like you are suggesting , that be pretty cool .

For some reason I feel like I need to collect it, like it has value, I know it doesn't but I can't help myself. Maybe we will be able to melt it down and make gold and silver bricks some day, I could build my own El Dorado.

yeah i collect the stuff like crazy, i wouldnt if it didnt weigh so little but its all 0.1 or less so i like ehhhh what the heck its SHINEY.

Especially those rings with diamonds and rubies on them. ive got like 5 of those stashed away in my bathroom

I've have been talking about smelting and forging for awhile. It would really useful to make spear tips, fishing hooks, axe heads, etc.

I usually keep every wallet, watch and piece of jewelry I find, just so I'm set for the post-apocalypse end game! When the survivors get together, I'm gonna be the guy to come to.

In mods? There's one that allows you to have gold and silver and sell it on a HAM radio.
