Also in the Future id recommend against asking this in either games Community if you want a actual answer as all it will do is cause fights and have Bias. its not anything anyone can help its just how it is.
pz feels like a better game for PVE players who want a more immersive and hardcore survival feeling with character building.
Love both games, but i simply cant take a break from dayz without ruining hundreds of hours of progress, pz however you can play whenever you feel like.
Dayz is decent for what it does but the experience is so much less than zomboid
DayZ = standard pvp survival with some (bad) zombies
PZ really reminds me of the spirit ofDay Z when it was just an Arma mod - the core loop consisting of exploration, resource management and unforgiving environments, with very detailed interactions with the environment and items. All bundled up in a no-hand-holding approach that forces you to look for solutions beyond your comfort zone.
Later iterations of Day Z as the community splintered into factions lobbying for their way of playing the game to be the only way to play the game, less so. A tuber called Soviet Womble made a series of videos about what happened to DayZ as it developed from mod to standalone app, well though out, entertaining while earnestly attempting to explain why DayZ went from being the must have mod to online backlash whipping child.
But I've lost count, how often id spawn in DayZ. and either starve to death (no loot) - or get randomly sniped in the head.....grrrrr.
I prefer Zomboid because it's less PvP focused, and if I die it's usually MY fault.
