I feel kinda let down by this game. Is all you do is just make a safehouse, fill it with food and water sufficient to survive a siberian winter and just sit on your ass ?

Not everyone enjoys playing in a sandbox; Not everyone is capable of or interested in making up their own goals and plans and challenges.

You are the sort of person for whom a Sandbox does not provide much entertainment- And that's okay.

Lastly while waiting for future content there is a great modding community available to us, I am amazed at what the creators can come up with. There is such wide variety of mods from quality of life, rpg like, horror, and even hardcore mechanics available it should help keep most casual and frequent players entertained. Worse vehicle mod and rare loot mod really make the beginning of the game stretched out where you dont have nearly everything right away.

Also sandbox settings are the tits , once you get a hang of the game, try it out if you havent. Or try it later once npcs and such releases.

Ok i get that it is still early access (for nine years), but the community praise this game like the second coming of Jesus and i just dont get the hype.

Two things, you have to make your own goal. Two you can make food extremely rare with sandbox settings. If you disagree with any part of this game, you can change it in the settings. Almost everyone after a certain time makes their own settings rather than playing their own

What do you mean by your own fun ? Like Cheats ? I feel like doing that just to make the game fun kind of tells me that the game is poorly made

Just be imaginative.

Think about your character and your goals. As in I am Legend, you also need to spice things up, it is not just surviving.

Also, you have tons of mods available, and the map is already huge.

If you want want to survive and accumulate days yes, you can stay put, but for what end? Visist the different cities. Have different houses.

Turn off respawn and make safe zones in a world with insane pop. Play multiplayer. Play the challenges.

There is no lack of content whatsoever. Or do you want us script what to do for you, better if it is in a mod?

Any other more realist and more content and features? Hardcore? With a bigger map which is not always the same? I have played a lot of survivals and none reach this level.

If you don't have goals, that's a you problem.

Try the CDDA challenge for example (I am currently a month in, in that one).

Well what was weird? Alot of people here play mp maybe they can help you find a server more suited for your playstyle?

They were all russian with text scrolling in chat, in others i start with full swat or milatary gear and the rest just ban me instantly.

Yeah most servers will probably have been running for a while im guessing thats why the gear. Id look for a server thst was recently wiped via google, steam, or discord. Or host your own and have people join you. Lots of options

I do find the late game pretty dull once you've settled all your needs. I think zomboid should go into factions for the late game, like in State of Decay 1 and 2. In some zombie stories the real problem is dealing with other humans.
