Yes, hence Java has grown to be one of the most used programming languages on the planet, because it sucks .. and it is truth.
I learn something new every day.
Personally PZ runs fine on my system and I don't have the best system out there (AMD FX4100 CPU .. don't judge me!). Stable framerate of around 50fps zoomed out.
PHP!, ASP.NET!, C++!, VALA!, UNIX shell!
Raaaaawwwwwrrrrrrrrr. *grabs pitchfork*
I don't care for programming, at all really. I care for people not stating truths that aren't. It's a flaw in my design, programming even xD
Also, this game needs pitchforks.
C# is my language of choice and anyone who follows me on twitter will know myself and Java do not always get on :D
Sorry but there's little to no chance of this, unless the game ever gets ported by a third party studio to another platform.
However, EasyPickins has been working at porting the rendering engine over to C++, so while the game may be java there is scope for optimizations with C++ libraries.
I hope you get a PC that will perform better someday and I'm sorry it's not working well for you.
I have a nice notebook that can runs most games. Not too bad specs.
It's okay. Older games like Alien Swarm in heigh settings: yes.
I don't need to buy better hardware specs because most games are ♥♥♥♥ in these days.
Looking great but no deeper gameplay. It would be a waste of money to get new gamer hardware.
I am using Linux and OpenJDK 7. It does not lags. But: my CPU is hot ( 87 ° C)
If I use Oracle JDK 7 (JRE) and buy that game would it be better?
There is no official installation package in .deb format for debian users (not this ubuntu dumb).
I have to copy Oralce Java in my root filesystem. This is bad.
Do I have to delete Oracle Java by hand? => Not acceptable.
Yes, I could write de-installation script. Why should I?
Very poor for an huge company like Oracle.
(There Is no need to make efforts to installa Java for my machines. I don't use this language.)
I would never install Java on my windows machine because of security risk.
I could place in my other hard-disk with windows and install Java. Why? For playing games?
I bought great games like BeatBuddy and others for Windows last summer (not this humble bundle stuff. Programmers made hard work.Therefor I like to pay for it.). Now I gave up to buy windows games. It's okay for me that not all game are aviable on Unix. However a matter of time. Rise of Linux has begun. It's like salvation to freed from Windows.
I am computer scientis, too.
I respect your work. Even it's made with java.
You should watch out for investors.
Your follow-up can become a hit like Settlers, Ages of Empires or Clash Of Clans.
It has it's own game design. Game style is unique. You shoud keep it in mind and think about it.
