Painting and plaster don't work
Using build 23 on Mac.

I've read previous comments about needing to plaster walls before painting, and so forth. I've also consulted wiki. I've collected all the tools, all in my Main Inventory, but I'm getting no options for painting or plastering.

-I have paint brush
-I have Bucket with Plaster (i.e., bucket, water, bag of plaster powder)
-I have extra bucket with water
-I have various buckets of paint (I tried Cyan and Yellow)

Are you only able to paint stuff that you've crafted? I mainly just want to paint on the ground as a marker, but even that doesn't work. Also tried installing Spray Paint mod (http://pz-mods.net/gameplay/SprayPaintMod/) and started new game, but the mod toggles OFF when I reboot PZ, so I'm thinking the mod doesn't work (haven't seen any spraycans with loot frequency = normal).

All I want to do is mark the ground, but I'm finding that none of this stuff works.

Thoughts? Any tools I'm missing?

In the mod's folder, open mod.info and add the line: id=SprayPaint
Then save it. It should let you load it.

Open it with Notepad, by the way

I'll try editing the spray paint mod later.

As far as basic painting and plaster goes, I've tried the following:

-click the surface
-right-click the surface
-right-click the brush/paint can/bucket of plaster to look for extra options

I'm no stranger to the game mechanics, though I never tried painting before, so I was a little surprised to find that it doesn't work (at least in the Mac build).

Are there any Mac players that can contradict this? Just create a new game with zero zombies, and with "normal" loot distribution, then run to a warehouse where you will find paint brush and various paints.

I edited the mod.info file to add the line, and now the mod remains ON when I boot into PZ. However, I created a new game, and after much hunting around (warehouses/stores mostly), I have not found spray cans, so unsure if any spawned (loot rarity = normal).

They're pretty rare. I've only found a couple so far. It depends on where you look.

That's why I increased the loot rarity >> Normal. I'll try increasing it further, but it's not looking good.

I maxed out the loot rarity, such that there was abundant stuff to be found. I tried looking in all manner of places, from homes to mansions to storage sheds to warehouses to various shops and stores and offices and a school.

Mind you, I was playing with zero zombies, so unless spray cans only manifest on zombies, I am going to claim that spray cans do not currently spawn in game (build 23 on mac). I've simply done too much looking around and found nothing.
