Scrapping Car Parts

So iv'e played project zomboid for around 42 hours so far and something iv'e been wondering about is whether or not I can scrap crummy car parts that I either salvage for Mechanics XP or the nearly broken ones I take out of my car. Now I might have not noticed it was a thing in the game but if it isn't does anyone know of a mod that would allow me to take apart parts for pipes and metal sheeting? Any help would be appreciated :)

Depends on what you mean by scrapping.

If you mean dismantling/disassembling the parts then no, that's not possible.

Not sure, but there's so many ways to get those items that a mod isn't really necessary.

Want metal bars? Take apart toilets and urinals.

Want metal sheets? Take apart metal doors or ovens/refrigerators.

A restaurant is a good place to get materials for metalworking.

Just be aware that it eats up 20 units of Propane (a full Propane Torch carries 100) and it doesn't give any special parts that can't be found elsewhere.
