Locking Gates or Doors?
What the F... This game is quite realistic but you can't put locks on Metal Gates and Doors? Like what??

I think locks do work on doors, but you need to have the key to the knob. Gates though you are correct in that they don't seem to get the locks.

Hmm... a feature missing from a game that isn't finished yet. How novel! :p

Don't see much of a point in it until multiplayer is fixed. And even then whoop just hop the fence. Aren't there the padlocks that are kinda rare to find unless you're looting in very certain areas? Never used them since again only single player. So not sure if they'd work there.

Well since zombies will just destroy your locked doors does it matter?
Also even if multiplayer would be available....Sledgehammer/Axe or welding torch, and your door, wall whatever is gone...is it worth it to waste a lot of stuff on locks? Absolutely not.

Well it could be useful if you are using the settings that allow zombies to use doors and I figure it'll be really useful when NPCs are finally in. Still not a big deal O know, but there could be some use to it depending on settings.

Well sure, but it could buy time if they try to interact with the door first instead of going straight to smashing it. (I've never tried the setting, so I'm not sure how it works) Same with NPCs, except it could be possible that it would be tougher for them, if they don't have the right equipment as they wouldn't just bang on your door until it breaks. So basically much like guns, I think it will have more use when NPCs are a thing.

I just think it's a shame that there's no way to prevent people from sledgehammering your entire base. There's literally nothing you can do in the vanilla game, even as an administrator, to prevent it apart from writing down rules.

Or am I missing something?
