Character wakes up at 2:50am every day
I cant figure out why. Its obviously not a sleep schedule issue; I try to go to bed every night around 9pm (while ridiculously tired thanks to waking up so early). tried to fix the sleep schedule anyways with sleeping pills which didn't help.

At first I thought danger, but I do a run of the grounds and no Z's are in the vicinity. Then I thought traits, but this character does not have restless sleeper (he does have sleepyhead) so I shouldn't be getting nightmares. I thought maybe pain from an old deep wound I had to stitch up, it was infected but I wasn't in pain. I took care of the infection with disinfectant, antibiotics, and being well-fed. The bandage has been clean for 3 days, so I know the infection is taken care of. Still, my character wakes up 2:50am every morning on the dot. There's never an alarm or loud noise of any kind.

My moodles are nothing out of the ordinary: bored, sometimes depression from eating stale fruit, peckish, ridiculously tired as mentioned before, moderate exhaustion. No queasy, panic, pain, hot/cold, wet, thirstiness, or discomfort. Last night I even fell asleep with just tired and well-fed at 10pm. Still "up n' at 'em" at 2:50am.

I'm completely out of ideas. I have no clue what could be causing this.

Check your storage area for Alarm Clocks and watches that have an alarm set; It may be out of audible hearing range for you the player but technically within the range to wake the character.

Any digital watch or alarm clock you find can have a preset alarm, always double check.

To quickly get rid of alarms throw all the watches and clocks into your main inventory (NOT Backpack) and double press the Alarm Button (located next to the Time Display). This will turn off all alarms

You probably stink like a corpse.

Get drunk before you sleep

Stay up until midnight. Then go to sleep. If you still wake up at 2:50am, then it's definitely an alarm somewhere.

You guys had it on the money, there was a digital watch on a corpse in the back yard with an alarm set. Crazy how my guy could hear it from the bedroom when I couldn't.

Thank you everyone, that was driving me up the wall hahaha

Side note, I wish I could wake up to my alarms like the character wakes up to alarms!

Hard of hearing if you can believe it, but it is an RP character so I'm hard of hearing too haha

Well IRL alarm is different on the old Nokia 2000s phones I had an alarm worked perfect. Ever since my first smart phones 10 or more year ago I just have no control over it anymore, both Samsung and iPhones have this problem. even if you follow all the procedure there’s something sinister behind it stopping me from establishing timed routine. I try huawei next time I bet the alarm works every time. Traditional bell alarm clock doesn’t stop is why it works. While smart phone will accept even the slightest touch will shut alarm off. You could do all kind of stuff in the moment before you are fully awake which cancel the alarm. But sometimes from software bug they will flat deny you the help waking up in the morning

Seems like your question has been answered but noticed you mentioned bandaging a stitched up wound. Stitched up wounds in this game heal faster when left unbandaged. :rainbowfart:

I got in the habit of picking up Digital Watches by clicking Set Alarm on the corpse or furniture inventory. i instantly see whether and when an Alarm is set. If it not set, you can just walk away from the inventory source and the Set Alarm box will close. The watch or clock immediately goes into your active inventory.
