- Read Faster When Sitting (for Build 41)
- Pillow's Random Spawns

- Pillow's Random Spawns Mod
This will drive you absolutely bonkers because the randomization element isn't equal. So you'll constantly spawn in diners and stuff surrounded by hundreds of Xombos.

- Superb Survivors
So you'll learn to hate NPC's when they constantly push you into Xombo hordes, or attract a large amount of them to your general location.

- Ravenholm or what the large city is called
I can't remember, but it's a nice place to visit.

- Vanilla Food Fix
just adds some common logic food recipes like making oatmeal in a bowl with fruit and milk rather then eating it dry, adds some extra uses for herbs too.

-Lockpicking just lockpicking
adds lockpicking with lockpicks and a screwdriver and destroying locks with a crowbar as a mechanic

People already mentioned Pillow's Random Spawns but yeah, that one. After many restarts -which a new player will definitely face- a fresh assortment of different spawn points definitely help keep things less boring.

Minimal Display Bars - if you'd love to know what's exactly going on with your toon at any second.

Craft Helper - If you wish to get yourself accustomed to the many recipes of PZ.

Scrap Weapons - If you'd like to take a step further with weapon modifications.

Customizable Zombies - If you're a maniac who loves playing with 50% Sprinters like me.

Eris Minimap - With the right settings this just turns into a better in-game map tool instead of something that gives you a winning-edge that makes things way too easy.

Silencer Mod - If you don't want to drown in all those modded firearms but just wish to make the already existing ones a little bit more quiet.

Crossbow Mod - Oi Zombo! 'that an apple on yer 'ead there, m8?

Terror Zeds - So, as the name says. Terror Zombies. "Zombies in this game wasn't cruel enough and I don't actually want to enjoy playing computer games. I want it to be painful."

and i would say that you should try without mods, you should see vanilla game by yourself and see every aspect that you don`t like and then you could find a suitable mod
