New bugs - bad bait?

I haven't dug into the files to check, but has anyone else noticed that the new forageable bugs are a lot worse as bait in Stick Traps than cockroaches, crickets, worms etc? Whenever I try to use caterpillars, millipedes, centipedes, slugs etc as bait, at best I'll get half the number of triggered traps as I do with other insects.
