Build 42 Multiplayer release?

Does someone know when we got the Multiplayer Patch for build 42? I want to introduce some friends to the game but if possible on the current build. Thanks for help.

Just like the rest of us, you will have to wait a while. Maybe at least six months before TIS has patched and balanced B42 Unstable enough to be comfortable with letting us break things all over again.

In fact, you will find out at the same time as everyone, when The Indie Stone announces it themselves. Just keep reading their devblog, Events & Announcements, and other official sources; you would be better served by getting on their Discord or even start using the official forum on projectzomboid.com.

The "current" and public build is build 41. Build 42 is an unstable test update.

I would actually recommand you NOT to start your friend with the unstable B42 when multiplayer comes because you will probably meet issues that might give your friends a bad impression about the game.

Build 41 is good enough to introduce your friends to the game imo, the mains mechanics are already there, and whether they like it or not, B42 won't change much in that regard (mainly the gameloop will be different thanks to crafting and animals).

I dont see the issue , if its annoying just ignore it? The same thing happens in discord every hour lol. When mp comes out it will be b43 when.

Some people don't keep up with the news or use other platforms or know how yo search for whatever reason. Just inform them and move on its really not that hard... it takes 2 seconds.

At this point I'm pretty sure they do know and have used the search bar and do it anyways. Multiplayer was a mistake.

so i went to the project zomboid forum from the link you posted. it doesn't appear to have been used in over a decade. Any chance there is an updated location? or is the steam community discussion a more valid location? it seems that there is considerably more activity within the community here.
