Interesting Stories.
Does anybody have some interesting PZ stories? I'd like to hear them and I want to share one of mine.

So, I am on this multiplayer server with a few people heading twoards a gated community to loot. It is going great, nobody is injured so far, and we haven't run into many zombies.
We pass the gate, and see like 6 zombies just hanging around it. Because our weapons aren't great, we decide to keep walking and take a different route in.
This is when, as the expression goes, ♥♥♥♥ hit the fan.
This random guy comes sprinting past us, screaming "RUN!" and "AHHHH!"
I had never seen him before on the server.
He pushed past us and kept running. We just stood there, confused, until we saw a single zombie at the edge of the screen. In my head, I was saying, "Really? Is this dude sprinting full pelt past a single zombie? I get he's unnarmed, but couldn-
Then, we saw the rest of them.
I suddenly figured out why we hadn't seen many zombies.
They had been chasing him, now they saw us.
There had to be more than 50 of them.
We had no guns.
He said on the GC, "I TOLD YOU TO RUN!"
We ran all the back to the base, thinking we lost them by dodging and weaving through buildings. We hadn't. About a minute after we had gotten back, they broke through the back window and killed almost everyone but me. I logged off and we moved bases later on.
The lesson of this story:
Listen to people who are running and screaming! It may just save your base and your life.
Don't wait to see what they are running from, just follow suit.

You got lucky not every one gets away from a mob of zombies

I see that on MMO's all the time, people gathing MOB trains...funny that you see them here too.

So I was pilfering through the West Point downtown area when I got trapped in a building near the bakery. I had run out of durability on my baseball bat, and I used up my stack of butter knives. Yet there there was still a small gang of zombies knocking at my door. So weaponless, I desperately searched for something in the room that I was in.
I ended up finding a shotgun with 12 rounds insiide a counter. "Lucky!" or so I thought...note that this was the first time I've ever used a shotgun, I stuck with melee mainly for conservation purposes until this point.
Anyways, I opened the door, fired off a couple shots and cleared the gang at the door. Before I knew it I was swarmed with the entirety of the downtown population, it seemed. I ran out of shotgun rounds before I cleared the swarm and I think that only made things worse, attracting even more to my location.
So I was able to move up to the apartments, relatively safe up there, the stairs being a good chokepoint for the horde. Every hour, I had to hand to hand combat the one or two zombies that would wander up the stairs and knock on my apartment door. I was trapped there for near a week before the game meta'd the horde to a different location.

um...lesson of this story:
Guns are bad, m'kay?

I was stalked by a man in his underwear in MP.......he then tracked me down to my safehouse, fire 2 mags from a pistol at my house, none of them hit me, when I ran outside with my shotgun to blast him away, I found that he was just strolling away, not running, nothing

I was on a MP server and things were getting stagnant at my base, so I went exploring in West Point. 2 guys had the giga mart fully fortified and they didn't immediately open fire.

They seemed pretty chill with me in their base until one started pointing a gun at me and following me everywhere.

I checked one of the nearby boxes full of mouldy food and 1 bag of chips. I was getting hungry so i took the chips and the guy pointing a gun at me insisted I put them back.

Since I was going to starve otherwise I shot him dead and made a run for it. His friend put me down in 2 shots at long range with a pistol.

Simmilar to Qinji In the down town heading to town all (Checking if that old hoard from super mark it had gone) I fought im going to stop at the bakery and grab some food but the entire street was full About 200-400 didnt get to count. So i legged it to the town hall go inside i set my zombies to weak but there hearing to high and didnt think they could break down the door.
So i slamed it and barricaded ran upstairs to make a sheet rope to climb out (BANG). i heard a noise down stairs went to check it out and was pulled in to the hoard of 200 manageing to get out unharmed (heart beating like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥) i ran to the rope room checked it then climbed to saftey. When i though it was then end i went down the wrong street and a massive hoard was grouping up south of my base seeing this i fought i need my gun to lure them away. The zombies followed my west then because of the there superhearing the town ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ heard to now i have a massive problem just one block from my base. Barricade all entrys to the max and have about 10 different escape routes hoping they will pass i hopefully wont be starved out being i have over 100 bags of chips and a massive farm. i will tell you what happens to my base and me when the hoard come though my way or a meta event draws them away. (Thanks for reading)

Anther story of mine was I was dared by my friends to start a world with rare loot, on insane, zombies at full power (Sprinting Superhuman zombies with immaculate hearing and smell) and the unlucky perk. The dare/bet was if I cold survive ten minutes without hiding or barricading myself in something, I got 5 bucks. If I lost, I lost 5 bucks. I started it and I spawned in a trailer park, literally surrounded by like 50 zombies right away. I ran panicking behind a dumpster, and peeked inside. Nothing but a tissue, but there was a small cardboard box beside it. Knowing that cardboard boxes usually held good stuff, I peeked inside with like 100 zombies running at me. All i found was some twine and 5 nails, so I ran. I went inside a trailer and hid in a bathroom while he hoard pounded on the doors and windows. They got in and I pushed them away, desperate for something. I was running when something caught my eye. One last cardboard box, just sitting there. I looked behind me and realized that if I looted it I would probably die and If I didn't I would certainly die. So, I was just like, ♥♥♥♥ it. I ran to the box and opened it... and to me and my friends surprise and delight... (dissatisfaction on my friend's part. They wanted to see me die and lose the bet)
There was a shotgun in there,
and to complete the package,
18 shells.
I fistpumped, and grabbed them both. I turned around and blasted the hundreds of zombies now onto me from the first shot. It gave me enough time to run away, catch my breath, and give my character the energy needed to survive he ten minutes, winning me the bet and 5 bucks.
The moral here:
Never underestimate the power of luck. Even with the unlucky debuff, luck still may hand you one last thing.
(Even if luck is against you, in this case)

I've played with the same settings in the past, I could never get past a minute of gametime before I got completely destroyed throughout about ten attempts.

I was playing a game with standard settings, except for zombies having poor hearing and time being set to realistic. I started my char on a carpentry book (these take a while to read IRL even on fast speed) and went to grab something to eat real quick. I come back to find my character dead on the floor. He had just eaten, carrying a full water bottle, inside a closed room, with door closed and no windows. Not sick, he apperantly just... died. I then switched to build 26 and have been playing with zombies on easy and loot common ever since.

EDIT: Although after reading about that 10 minute bet I am going to try it! sans losing money on death of course. :)

Yeah, the time I actually survived was really just a fluke. I can't believe I found a shotgun, let alone any weapon at all. Plus I spawned in one of the crappiest places in existance.

Yeah I died like 6 times and then gave up. My best time was 3.5 minutes. :P
