Crafting fishing pole / adding line.

I have all of the items I am supposed to have in order to either add line to a rod, or craft a pole and I can't seem to do it. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong? I know I have crafted poles before.

There is a magazine you must find to learn the recipe now, as of a more recent build.

Yes it's one of the more questionable decisions, IRL all you have to do is tie some line onto a round thing and then reel the line on. I hope they remove that mechanic because you REALLY don't need a magazine to tell you how to put line on a reel, even if you've never held a rod before.

As some have said before just have a chance to fail at lower levels or use more line than normal at lower levels. All I do is sing this games praise but this 1 perticular decision is an all around thumbs down.

EDIT: If you HAVE to keep this mechanic, then make the book VERY common. I've searched 2 big book shops and not found a single magazine that teaches anything.
