...mmm
that would actually be KICK ASS :o
Hehehe... some people are so infantile it's funny. But it's not funny to the developers, and not fun to read, I'm sure, when someone comes in and says hurtful things about your efforts, especially when the product you are making is SOLID compared to 90% of early access stuff.
In any event, this is just a troll thread made by a child who has no grasp on reality.
I think you confused "getting ahead of themselves and underestimating dev times" with "aiming too high". Also, check your comparisons because this is nothing like Duke Nukem Forever. That IP switched hands several times (seeing as how several of the companies involved went out of business) before any real significant development started. DNF is what happens when you refuse to let something die and revive it's antiquated corpse. Fun game, but not good by any means. Just as well, when any of us bought the game doesn't really matter either...people who bought it EA have no more right to a good game than someone who bought it yesterday or someone who buys it at 1.0.
Luckily the IWBUMS version just hitting live sometime today (if it hasn't already) I believe, so there should be a good chunk of new and fun stuff to check out!
I purchased this game a long time ago, and literally, I haven't seen much improvement nor any incentive to play the game. It lead to nothing, it has no objective, and I will bet my entire bank account that it will still be in early access for my (not yet conceived) children to see when they're all grown.
If I could get a refund, I would take it with OPEN ARMS and never have to look at another pathetic weekly blog update that just delivers hollow promises.
I have learned an important lesson, though, never to trust another early access developer. Thanks guys!
Original DNF died because of overambitious, that's what I mean. Revive was just to get some cash back. I just see TIS don't know when to drop ball. If something is too hard to handle then drop or simplify this, old rule of game dev. I personally don't like choking projects with things like that and gonna hold my cash in the future to buy finished stuff at best from TIS/dayz devs and few others in the future.

Beyond that, I'm literally out of words of what to tell people who bring up the same, already adressed points over and over.
"Nothing has changed":
http://pzwiki.net/wiki/Version_history
The game was never meant to have an objective (in terms of a linear story to begin, middle, and end), so if you bought it for that it was a failing on your part, not the devs.
Did you miss the entire point where the dev replied and validated some of the criticism? And how on earth did you get from that to thinking that no one is acknowledging the merit of his argument? I'll just have to assume that you didn't actually bother reading the dev responses; if you did and you're still saying no one paid attention to his criticism that's a rather bewilding lack of reading comprehension. If you didn't read them, maybe you should take a deep breath, go back and read them, and then comment.
At any rate, you bring up a good point: people like you shouldn't buy Early Access. I'm glad you came to that realisation, because it will be much better for you and for the successful indie devs you're enjoying calling "pathetic."
Oh, and always remember, everyone: start off every discussion by calling the people you disagree with "fanboys." It's any easy way to deflect anyone who disagrees with you, and shows without a doubt that you are impartial and definitely don't have any bias. God forbid we accidentally treat people we disagree with with any respect, or have a shred of humility about our point of view.
Edit: On a more serious note, I do apologize that you feel the 33+ hours you spent on PZ weren't worth the $ 8-15 you paid for it, though. I hope one day that will change.
Rather annoying that developers on Steam are seemingly no longer trusted to be able to edit old posts. I assume this is given a few dev's censoring of criticism in the past. This is why we can't have nice things!
Just thought I needed to set the record straight and apologize for it! The point still stands though.
