can i disable the ''water shut off'' thing?

i just hate that

Sandbox mode, set the shutoff to 1-5 years. I find it gives about 3.2 years of water and 3.5 on power. Permanent water though isn't a thing. Not that I know of anyways.

For sure. Btw, if you want to see how many days you have, find your save and open map_sand with notepad. Easiest way to find it is to push T to go to the thumbnail and scroll up a little.

i think its easier to find two gens and a gas station - and now u have almost endless electricity. If u have electricity u can boil river water and drink it after! Profit!

Can also put a water collector on the roof over a sink (1 space off set).

They actually did change this. You can have one over the top now.

You do not need electricity for that. Fire is enough:)

Yeah, sure its enough, but its easier to fill up the gas tank and a gen than finfing logs every single time. Plus u will have stoves working)

can the map_sand be edited with notepad++ to just change the number of days?

here is the area where it shows the days left for water/elec in my map_sand that

WaterShut
6 ElecShut
6 WaterShutModifier 1781 ElecShutModifier 1790

Could I just edit the 1781 and 1790 in that line to increase/decrease the days til shut off?
